Progress Path · Zone 4 · The Depth
Stay in the Long Conversation
Step 1 · Learn · Communicate and Listen Better
Minute twenty is where the skill shows
Learn to stay present after the easy part of a conversation is over. · About 10 minutes.
Most men can hold five good minutes. The difference shows at minute twenty, when you are tired and want it to be over.
Two moves keep you in it: slow your body down on purpose, and keep asking about the thing she is actually describing rather than steering to a fix.
Ending well matters as much as starting well. Name what you heard, name what you will do, and say when you will pick it up again.
